How it all started:
Each month a different member of a small group of tarot card readers (who’ve become another Chosen Family) sends out a mailing. It often includes a tarot card (different for each recipient), along with other personal magic; a group reading, a spell, etc.
For June I used my offering to recognize Pride in a non-rainbow fashion.
Shown here is part of my mailing- not shown is a full-size oracle card produced just for this group. The double-sided sheet had notes on Distortion, and how we often don’t realize it’s happening. It included some notes on the history of the phrase “spilling the Tea” and a smaller card with a hand-written word rhyming with Tea as a prompt. Whether that’s some truth about yourself to tell yourself or someone else is up to you.
Because this was a one-time offering with a small number of cards, a few dozen Spilling Tea cards were printed on business-card size at TheGamecrafter, then prompts hand-written. Drafting the list of potential prompts gave me dozens of suitable words. Not just a rhyme, but thought-provoking.
Turning it into this format was immediately added to my ‘2dew’ list. And now I’ve come up with an initial set of 52 prompts. Each custom-printed metal tin includes 52 prompt cards, a title card, and this leaflet with some of the history of the phrase “spilling the Tea“. Here’s a 4 minute video walk through:
